Ed Macione was first introduced to martial arts in the form of Muay Thai. From that moment, he became inspired in martial arts, which led him to his journey in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. It immediately became his passion. In 2005, he started training under the tutelage of the legendary Rickson Gracie at the Rickson Gracie academy in West Los Angeles. Rickson is regarded as a living legend in the sport. He continued his training under his coach Chris Lisciandro from the Street Sports Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu team, where he’s been training consistently ever since. After all these years on the mat, his passion for Jiu-Jitsu has only gotten stronger. His teaching style is known for being very technical, and he is known for his keen attention to detail. He views Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as a lifestyle which can change people’s lives, and his goal is to transfer his knowledge and passion to his students.
